Vintage Kitchen Timer Rescues Family of Five

As I've mentioned, probably several times, I live in a small house. 1680 historic and charming square feet, but small, with 1 and 1/2 baths. That's one tub/shower combination for three kids, two adults.. you get the picture. Mornings can be a little challenging, especially as both my teenage sons need to shower in the morning. Let me say this; no girl I've ever lived with spends as much time in the bathroom as my 14 year old son. Really. Mornings used to be filled with shouting and pounding on the door for him to hurry up, sprinkled with threats to turn off the water from the street, etc. Not happy for anyone, least of all me and the afore-mentioned teenage son. Enter the hero, a little pink kitchen timer, without so much as a cape to call her own. Set timer for 30 minutes. That tick tick ticking was all it took. Most mornings he makes it out of the bathroom just before it rings, enabling everyone else to get ready as well. Happiness restored. Now if I can get my daughter to eat, I'm good to go!

What a delight to meet you and your wonderful beautiful blog. I would give everything for your tiny Seattle home, My daughter is grown so unless I lose all my junk I would be fine.
I tell my DH I am not move anywhere without all my books. I collect them too as well as all things vintage and a few more.

I adore your Chinese vases and women, I also try to find these and Seattle is a wonderful place to roam.

I lived in Sumner, WA around Lake Tapps until 911 through us a loop and hubby lost his job. well, alot has happened since then but AlWaYs! in my heart.

You have beautiful things, I am also trying to get through WINDOWS 7 TOO as it came on new computer here, and alot of new things revamped to learn all over.
It appears you follow some wonderful blogs so I now follow you too, add one more!
Thanks for your comments, Much appreciated!
