I've wanted to participate in White Wednesdays, and be part of all the fabulous blogs with to die for chippy white cupboards, and collections of white McCoy pottery, and ironstone. The vintage white fabrics, and lace I've seen posted are ethereally dreamy. Naturally I'd want to join in. I like to be part of the party. Only thing is...turns out I don't have a lot of white to post! I do like white, and I can prove it, Blogland! All the trim in my house (well, almost) is white, inside and out. My doors are white, and hey, my kitchen appliances are white. By choice. Ok, my husband's choice; I did want some stainless steel. As I looked around, it occured to me that most of my white is a background, or part of a pattern. Not much lone white residing purely, providing serene tranquility for the eye and soul. I'm not complaining. While I am drawn to white, I seem to be drawn more to color. So, this post might be like the time I pretended to be part of a class reunion in order to be included. I really like my faux coral candlesticks. They're not vintage, but are very white and glossy, although this picture is a little dark. And I love my little fur hat with the pompoms. And I do not think I can walk past an old white metal table without wanting it. Billy Idol's 'White Wedding'? Still a favorite. That's gotta count.

I'm afraid kiddo, we are in the same boat. I love white, but when I try to do it in my home, color seems to cre-e-p in! I do love your old clock case...that would be fun to work with.

Likewise, I am in your ship as well. I do not have hardly any white in my home. But I looove the fur....
Girlfriend, you are always welcome to play with us WW gals! I've cheated a few times and used some dubious WW images. Yours are just great! It's the thought that counts!
Hugs,
Anne
what a fun White Wednesday!! your fuzzy hat is adorable and i LOVE those coral candlesticks and the lovely table vignette in the last photo!
I think your white fur hat is fabulous. I was so lucky last weekend at our tiny little flea market on Saturday. A lady was selling a vintage rose covered hat box. I peeked inside the box to make sure it wasn't torn up and to my surprise it was full of old hats, .... get this...including a white fur tam hat with a fabulous brooch on it. Get out....it was wonderful. Price: $5.00 and the lady kept apologizing because the hat box was old. I hope to show it for my next White Wednesday. Thank you for visiting The Vintage Nest. I hope you'll come back often. ~ Lynn
