"It's certain that fine women eat A crazy salad with their meat."
William Butler Yeats
I don't think decorating and design were necessarily what Yeats was refering to, but I like a bit of whimsy or not too fine and serious in my home. Sometimes I think it's a reflection of me, and my uncanny design sensibility, (uh huh, it's my blog, right? My own little Fantasy Island where I am queen) and sometimes it just goes better with the toast crumbs! Right now, that means my gold-painted duck decoy (found at Today's Country Store last summer)in a party hat in a lovely red vintage case. Am I right, Blogland? I thought so!

I'm picturing Tatu running around saying "Da Blog...Da Blog!
You are the queen and I bow to your discriminating taste!

Great find! Hope you have a wonderful weekend, T
Every gold duck decoy needs a party hat! And (sorry - can't help myself) your lucky duck gets to hang out in that snazzy red cage too.

P.S. I'll be saving you a special bag if you make it to the December Sand Point.

That is both hysterical and high art. I love your duck!
